The cost of an assessment typically ranges from $4,000 to $4,680, depending on the clinical presentation. Neuropsychological assessments at Brighter Future Psychology are billed at $260 per hour, and the process typically includes 3 to 4 clinical appointments, as well as administrative and report-writing time.The complete assessment process includes the following stages:STEP ONE – Pre-Assessment Intake InterviewThirty (30) minutes prior to your appointment, you will receive a secure link by email to access the session. If multiple parents want to attend from different devices, please forward the automated email with the link. We can’t access it for confidentiality reasons.Click here for a guide on how to join a telehealth appointment with the Jane App. Duration: 1 to 1.5 hours.This session is intended for parents and the clinician.The child’s presence is not required if the child is under 13 years of age.The purpose of this session is to discuss the reasons for requesting the assessment and to review the assessment process.Following this appointment, questionnaires will be sent to the appropriate parties to obtain objective measures for the evaluation.Cost: 1 h – $260 | 1.5 h – $390.STEP TWO – In-Person Testing SessionsConducted in person at our clinic located at 301–323 Chapel Street, Ottawa, Ontario.First testing session with a psychometrist: 3 hours.Second testing session with the clinician: 2 to 3 hours.These sessions are conducted between the clinician and the patient.During these sessions, the clinician administers standardized tests tailored to the assessment goals and identified areas of concern.Cost: (1) 3 h – $780 + (2) 2 h – $520 to 3 h – $780.STEP THREE – Administrative Time, Scoring & Report WritingWe allocate three to six distinct time blocks for administrative work and report writing.No participation is required; these blocks are used to document time spent on the file.Each block generally lasts 1.25 to 3 hours, for a total of 10.5 hours or less.This time allows for scoring, analysis, interpretation of results, administrative tasks, and report writing.These services are billed as psychological/assessment services and may be submitted to your insurance provider.Cost: 2 h – $520 to 3 h – $780 (per time block).STEP FOUR – Post-Assessment Feedback SessionThirty (30) minutes prior to your appointment, you will receive an encrypted link by email to access the session. If multiple parents want to attend from different devices, please forward the automated email with the link. We can’t access it for confidentiality reasons.Click here for a guide on how to join a telehealth appointment with the Jane App. Duration: 1 to 1.5 hours.This session is intended for parents and the clinician; the child’s presence is not required if the child is under 13 years of age.During this session, the assessment’s results, conclusions, and recommendations are reviewed and discussed.You will have the opportunity to review the final draft of the report and to request or discuss any necessary modifications.Following this meeting, the final report will be sent to you as an encrypted, password-protected document.Cost: 1 h – $260 | 1.5 h – $390.
